Toon Tuesday: Jules the Human Power Armour Pilot (Rifts)

I was expecting a lot more work to go into a Robot Pilot O.C.C., if I’m being honest, but the skill selection was a breeze and so was equipment (besides the power armour, of course.) I left out specific missile selection, as that would be tailored to fit your mission, but they are pictured for ease of access, and I also skipped the few cybernetic augmentations as this character (and as the text states) is confident enough in their armour without it. Backstory is a bit vague and loose, but that’s to make it easier to play with and customize. Enjoy!

Game: Palladium Books’ Rifts RPG
Books Needed: Rifts Ultimate Edition.
Recommended Setting: Any starting level adventuring party or mercenary group, though as former CS military, it may be best to avoid anti Coalition campaigns. Also, if travel is going to be frequent, make sure someone has a vehicle that can haul power armour.

Toon Tuesday: Odd Maria the Human Shifter (Rifts)

You know what’s terrible? Giving a starting character a spell or ability that can only be found in a supplemental text. Anyway, like any spellcaster, this write up is huge, but Shifters have so many complex rules and spells at level 1 that it’s going to be even longer than your average mage. I paraphrased some sections, especially if the information wasn’t pertinent to the ability or spell (there was a lot of fat to trim in this case, like the Summoning ability), as well as completely cut the (optional) Supernatural Link ability (pages 124-125 RUE); the length is still impressive so strap in!

Game: Palladium Books’ Rifts RPG
Books Needed: Rifts Ultimate Edition, Rifts: Book of Magic, The Rifter: Issue 21.
Recommended Setting: Due to the strength of the Shifter and their potential supernatural allies, they would fit well in either an average adventuring, starting level group, or a starting level group compised of mega damage creatures and classes. It should be noted by DMs that many Shifters are generally given a bad name by evil Shifters, and as such, the practice and magic has been outlawed in some areas and the Coalition will kill a confirmed Shifter on sight.

Toon Tuesday: Sonic the Dog-Boy Navy “Sea Dog” (Rifts)

I know I’ve already done a Dog-Boy, but the Coalition Navy sourcebook offers a vastly different take on them, and I haven’t done many pro-CS characters, so I thought I’d add another to the list. I’ve actually written an entire team of CS Navy operatives before, including two Sea Dogs, which was a lot of fun to build, but this is an entirely new character to enjoy. The Rifts universe needs more Dog-Boys! Please note, there were some minor additions and swaps here or there, typically in skill percentages, due to errors in the text; I did my best guess at the intended scores. Enjoy.

Game: Palladium Books’ Rifts RPG
Books Needed: Rifts Ultimate Edition and Rifts Sourcebook 4: Coalition Navy.
Recommended Setting: Coalition or CS Navy campaign, works especially well around water and with human characters.
