Toon Tuesday: Gripbark the Furbolg Fighter (Warcraft)

I genuinely loved Furbolgs, and the questing zones which featured them in World of Warcraft, so I thought I would write one up. I was fairly upset that [Dartol’s Rod of Transformation] was Alliance only, too. I waffled over the Fighter and Healer, but finally opted for the preferred class of the race. There’s a pun hidden in here. I’m not sorry.

Game: White Wolf Publishing’s Warcraft RPG
Books Needed: Warcraft RPG Core Book First Edition, Manual of Monsters (pages 45-47), Dungeons and Dragons Player’s Handbook 3.5.
Recommended Setting: Any climate, though they prefer forested areas and temperate regions. Northrend is home to many Furbolgs as well, and would be suitable. Most suited to a neutral campaign, perhaps which features her preferred races heavily.

Furbolgs do not typically wear much armour, preferring the toughness of their own hide for protection; what they may wear is piecemeal-type hide armour.

Toon Tuesday: Eli the Dog-Boy CS Officer (Rifts)

My very first ever character was a feral Dog-Boy (Malamute breed), and I have played many, many Dog-Boys since then; they are my absolute favorite R.C.C.! However, my table rarely hosts pro-CS games, so I figured I would change it up a bit! For more information about his identification number, see rule 10 of my Rifts specific House Rules.

Game: Palladium Books’ Rifts RPG
Books Needed: Rifts Ultimate Edition, Rifts World Book 11: Coalition War Campaign.
Recommended Setting: Coalition campaign. There is very little which could persuade Eli to leave the Coalition State military.

Toon Tuesday: Wire Witch the Human Psi-Operator (Rifts)

I think the Operator O.C.C. is honestly my favourite of all that Rifts offers. While not mechanically or technologically inclined myself, I absolutely love playing characters who could rig up a weaponized vehicle or hack into a secure network! And I’ve never written a Psi-Operator, so this was a lot of fun! Note that I’ve started assigning locations to most gear. While it’s a pain, the fact of the matter is that a lot of it isn’t necessarily on your character’s person if they have a home or vehicle, and if you should have your backpack snatched, perhaps it’s good not to store everything in it?

EDIT 10/2014: I have played this character and found her to be a lot of fun! Very comprehensive skills and an excellent supportive character who is surprisingly sturdy in combat as well.

Game: Palladium Books’ Rifts RPG
Books Needed: Rifts: Ultimate Edition.
Recommended Setting: Suited to technical support roles, good for any campaign or group, especially in matters of repair, hacking, and the stealing and trading of information and programs.
